Chase Excellence & Success Will Follow – 3 Idiots
When life gives you options, choose excellence over success-Always! By taking up challenges on your way, staying grounded to your heart is the key to get greater things in life. It is always better to strive to become the best version of yourself with a dash of creativity instead of the best copy of someone else’s life.
Our beliefs shaped by the societies’ stereotype of ‘Success’ seem to be a dominant ideology that is unquestioned so far. And 3 Idiots presents a perfect plot of challenging idiotic ideologies and emerging victorious despite all the obstacles. The lead villain – Virus is the depiction of the orthodox educational system and his sidekick Chatur is a lab rat, who has been blindly running the track without questioning rationale. Rancho (our Hero) is smart, ambitious and has a carved “his own – true” definition of success. He is an undiscovered prodigy who disobeys irrational principles while he challenges various authorities. The supporting leads – Raju and Farhan get inspired by Rancho’s approach towards life situations. These 3 musketeers as a team, then collaboratively break stereotypes, with transformative out of the box notions, fueling to kickstart a successful chapter in their journey of life.
Our Partners in crime

We have people with entirely contrasting personalities in our friend circle some of them are arrogantly attached to books and quiet, while some others are meekly detached to classrooms and are party poppers! It can be your school buddies, your office colleagues, or even siblings. Big Idea 1
Uniform Lagta Hai Uniform
Rancho challenged the way we look at the` education system and the traditional ideology of accumulating material wealth. Like the incident where he advised Millimetre that you don’t need to take admission in school instead all you need is a uniform. Another incidence that demonstrates this perfectly would be the one when the 3 musketeers crash into the wedding just by wearing a turban and an empty envelope.
Jab bhook lagti hai to paise ke baare mein mat socho kuch tarkeeb socho!
Big Idea 2
Aal Iz Well….Aal Iz Well
Rancho gave a mantra called ‘Aal iz well’ to make sure whenever your heart is scared you can calm it by giving it some courage. Getting inspired by this ideology Raju is also able to finally find the courage to confront his demons. Raju becomes a new man who can put fear behind him. Raju wins a job offer, despite his poor grades, because the interviewers are impressed by Raju’s honesty and high moral principles. Even Farhan confronts his father and reasserts what he wishes to do in life and finally, his father reluctantly allows him to forsake his engineering studies and pursue his true passion in wildlife photography.
Jab bhi dar lage, apne dil pe haath rakho aur usko bolo Aal Iz Well!
Big Idea 3
Baccha Kabil Bano Kabil.. Kamyabi Toh Saali Jhak Maarke Peeche Bhagegi
The dominant ideology in India and many other cultures is that hard work and sacrifice are the prerequisites for success in life. Rancho shows us an alternative path to success – one where passion does not have to be sacrificed. By not caring about grades and studying for the love of knowledge, Rancho graduates at the top of his class. The incident where Rancho tries to tell Virus and his colleagues about this philosophy by giving all of them a task to find the meaning of some words. Ends up explaining that life is not a rat race, don’t just mug up books instead try to increase your knowledge. Another funny incident was when Chatur had to give a speech and Rancho substitutes obscenities into the text, As expected, Chatur mindlessly memorizes the speech, without noticing that anything is amiss, partly aided by his lack of knowledge on Hindi. His speech becomes the laughing stock of the audience. In the climax of the movie, Rancho comes up with over 400 patents that the Japanese are prepared to pay millions for, whereas the lab rat Chatur too is shown chasing (rather unknowingly) Rancho to be his prospective business partner and save his job.
